AHE E-mail List
The AHE e-mail list is a group of over 200 SDA women. We
have lively discussions on all aspects of SDA homeschooling including:
curriculum, child discipline, how do I...?, where do I find...?, what do you
use?, and much more. It's a very active list so be prepared to get lots of
e-mail. ~Judy

Comments:
This list was my church family while i was in Los Banos, and i will never
forget all that you all meant to me during those lonely months, that
stretched into years.
You were my friends, church family, sisters, mentors, you all mean a lot to
me.
No one understands the inner me like another Adventist. Like you all. In so
many places and ways in my life i don't fit in, the most important parts of
me are not like most other people, but you all understand. Adventists,
homeschooling wives and mothers, all the really important parts of me.
God bless,
sherri
This list is SO amazing. You all encourage and educate me. You inspire me.
You make me laugh. You provide information and motivation for me to use at
home and share with other home-schoolers who can't get at our list directly.
And besides that, many of you have taken the time to actively participate in
one of my children's hands-on learning experiences. What a blessing!

This list has given me companionship. Like Sherri Rimmer did, I live in a
very...well, "interesting" place. I am very alone here. For instance, my
children are the only SDA kids in LaPine. I doubt if there is another
vegetarian anywhere near. You cannot buy a whole grain anything without
driving at least 30 miles. If you don't hunt, fish, smoke, chew, drink beer
or at least Mountain Dew, you just don't fit in around here (Jeff Foxworthy
would love this place!). I have no idea what we are doing here. But I have
my list sisters!! They support the way we live and are always sympathetic
and ready with prayers when needed. Not only do I get ideas and support from
you all, it gives me an opportunity to share what I've learned through 12
years of hs-ing my boys. Helping others has blessed me. I feel a bond with
all of you, and can't wait to give you all a big hug in Heaven!!
Love,
Lisa G.

This list has provided so much support for me this last year. This has been
a hard year. Partly because of my own depression and reaction to
circumstances. But I was so blessed to have been here on this list during
that time. The MANY times that I cried out to you someone ALWAYS wrote a
caring and compassionate answer to my cries; sometimes on list, sometimes
off. You always led me back to He who cares the most and longs for the time
when He can wipe out all our tears and sadness. When I was the most
depressed two of you even called me on the phone to chat and check on me.
WOW! Through allowing yourselves to be used by God you brought such joy to
my tortured mind. When I didn't know where to turn for answers to
situations someone was always ready to lend an ear an offer up Godly wisdom.
It was through the love of people on this list that God was able to bring me
healing. I am now attempting to learn to bloom where I am planted (or
transplanted). Thanks to you ALL,
Pam Z.
(who would still love to be blooming somewhere else)
I have appreciated the AHE list very much. Though I am a "retired" home
school mom I enjoy learning more and new ways to homeschool successfully so I may
share with others. I feel a kindred spirit with the other homeschooler
parents as they share their struggles and needs plus the bright times
when things go in a positive way.

You know I needed to read your testimony right at this very moment. I live in
the city, near the General Conference in fact and over 50 SDA churches in my
neck of the woods, however, with all this companionship I still feel very
alone.
It seems no one believes as I do, not even my husband (he believes all these
things are good, but he doesn't ACTIVELY "do"), when it comes to a good vegan
veggie diet, or little to no TV, or no jewelry, or anything SDA! I attended a
Family Life Seminar at one of the many local churches yesterday. I could not
even believe I was in a SDA church!
The reason I am so fretful is because, I need encouragement, mentorship. I've
just became vegetarian, and stop wearing jewelry and movie going myself. Would
you believe I grew up SDA . . . in fact many generations. Even the few SDA
homeschoolers that I've met don't really bond. Everyone just sticks to
themselves.
So, I'm really thankful for AHE!
Welcome to the list, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Our sisters in Christ here have been such a blessing and inspiration to me.
